About the Role:
The Housekeeping role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests, residents, and employees within our facility. This position focuses on ensuring all assigned areas are thoroughly cleaned and organized to meet established standards of hygiene and presentation. The successful candidate will contribute to the overall satisfaction and comfort of those using the space by performing routine cleaning tasks and addressing specific cleaning needs promptly. Attention to detail and consistency in maintaining cleanliness are critical to prevent health hazards and enhance the aesthetic appeal of the environment. Ultimately, this role supports the smooth operation of the facility by upholding high standards of cleanliness and orderliness.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to build rapport with residents and be comfortable working with them.
- Compassionate and caring demeanor.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Good communication skills to understand instructions and report issues effectively.
- Reliability and punctuality to maintain consistent attendance and meet scheduled shifts.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces in assigned areas.
- Clean and restock restrooms, ensuring supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper are replenished.
- Change bed linens, make beds, and tidy guest or resident rooms as required.
- Dispose of trash and recycling materials in accordance with facility policies and environmental guidelines.
- Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the supervisor promptly.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to complete larger cleaning projects or special assignments as needed.
