Event & Security Liaison in Bloomington, Indiana at Indiana Security

Job Summary

We are seeking energetic and customer-service oriented individuals to join our dynamic event and security team at Indiana Security. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing access points and maintaining a safe and secure environment across facilities, while providing a positive experience for guests! Your proactive approach will help ensure safety, efficiency, and strong customer service. This position offers flexible scheduling options, making it ideal for a variety of individuals (students, retirees, working professionals) committed to making a positive impact, building community, and having fun at work!

Responsibilities

This opportunity is guest-facing with a variety of roles including (but not limited to): support for VIPs and VIP areas, parking access, traffic control, safety monitoring, and more. Duties will be based on preference, skill, and qualifications. Most of our events revolve around IU's event schedule.

• Control access for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors, verifying identities and issuing passes as needed
• Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized entry
• Anticipate and manage conflict situations with professionalism and tact, de-escalating disputes when necessary
• Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks for reporting purposes

Job Description

• Pay rates: $16 Hourly
• Schedule: Corresponds primarily with large events at IU and in Bloomington
• 10-15 hours per week
• No experience required
• Safety, parking operations, crowd management, VIP service
• Flexible Scheduling
• Largely outdoor work

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Valid Driver’s License (preferred)
• Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Stand for long periods of time
