ISSA is the leading trade association for the cleaning and facility solutions industry worldwide. Our purpose is to change the way the

world views cleaning. The association represents businesses, organizations, and professionals across the entire cleaning industry

chain, including manufacturers, manufacturer representatives, wholesalers, distributors, in-house service providers, building service

contractors, residential cleaners, and more.

The Junior Account Executive is a developmental sales role focused on supporting revenue growth, member engagement, account

development, and customer retention across assigned accounts and prospects. This position will work closely with Account

Executives and the Membership Engagement team to identify opportunities, build customer relationships, and develop the skills

necessary to progress into an Account Executive role.

The Junior Account Executive will assist throughout the sales process, including prospecting, lead qualification, customer follow-up,

proposal development, closing smaller opportunities, and supporting the growth of existing accounts. The position will also help

identify opportunities for membership, education, certification, sponsorships, media and advertising, events, and other ISSA products

and services.

This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in consultative selling, relationship management, and pipeline development

while learning ISSA’s products, services, and the cleaning and facility solutions industry. With demonstrated performance and

continued development, the Junior Account Executive is expected to progress toward the responsibilities and performance

expectations of an Account Executive.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supports revenue generation for new membership and non-dues revenue, including education, certification, sponsorships, media

& advertising, signature initiatives, event attendance, and renewals.

• Prospect, nurture, qualify, and follow up with leads.

• Assist Account Executives with assigned accounts and sales opportunities.

• Develop and maintain relationships with current and prospective members.

• Identify opportunities to expand member engagement and introduce customers to relevant ISSA products and services.

• Assist with new membership onboarding and customer follow-up.

• Conduct outbound calls, emails, and other prospecting activities to generate new opportunities.

• Maintain accurate customer and opportunity information within Salesforce.

• Schedule and participate in customer calls and meetings as appropriate.

• Prepare and assist with proposals, quotes, and other sales materials.

• Follow up on open opportunities and help move prospects through the sales process.

• Learn and effectively communicate the value and benefits of ISSA membership, education, certifications, events, and other

products and services.

• Collaborate with Account Executives and internal teams to support the successful deployment of services sold.

• Work toward achieving individual sales and activity goals and progressively assume greater ownership of sales opportunities.

• Participate in ongoing coaching and mentorship from Account Executives and demonstrate continued development toward

Account Executive responsibilities.

• Attend and represent ISSA at industry events as needed.

• Other tasks and additional duties as requested.

Final key performance indicators (KPI’s) will be established based on member segmentation and the individual’s level of development

by your direct supervisor.

Mandatory Qualifications

• Demonstrated interest in developing a career in sales, account management, or customer engagement.

• Ability to work within an office setting.

• Proficient in CRM and/or AMS software or ability to learn quickly.

• Associate degree in business administration or equivalent work experience preferred.

• 1–2 years of experience in sales, customer service, account management, business development, or a related field preferred.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.

Beneficial Qualifications

• Experience working with trade associations or a similar not-for-profit environment a plus.

• Knowledge of the cleaning, facilities management, and/or restoration industry a plus.

• Experience with Salesforce a plus.

• Previous experience in a membership-based organization a plus.

• Project management experience or certification a plus.
