Summary of Position
The Accounting Assistant supports the day-to-day accounting operations at Rebel Athletic by handling data entry, transaction processing, and basic account reconciliation tasks. This role ensures accuracy and consistency in financial records while assisting the accounting team with reporting and administrative functions.
The position is ideal for an early-career accounting professional looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment while building foundational accounting skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
Data Entry and Transaction Processing
- Input financial data and transactions into accounting systems accurately and timely
- Process invoices, receipts, and other financial documents
- Maintain and update accounting records and spreadsheets
Accounts Payable and Receivable Support
- Assist with vendor invoice processing and payment tracking
- Support accounts receivable functions including payment application and tracking
- Help resolve discrepancies related to invoices and payments
Reconciliations and Reporting
- Assist with account reconciliations and identifying discrepancies
- Support preparation of monthly financial reports and schedules
- Maintain organized documentation for financial records
Administrative and Team Support
- Provide general administrative support to the accounting team
- Assist with audit preparation and documentation as needed
- Support special projects and ad hoc tasks
Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 1 to 2 years of accounting or administrative experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and office software
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Strong communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with accounting or ERP systems
- Exposure to accounts payable or accounts receivable processes
- Experience in a fast-paced or high-volume environment

Working Conditions

- Requires strong attention to detail and sustained focus
- Regular interaction with Finance team members and cross-functional departments
