Diesel MechanicAbout the Role

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing diesel trucks and heavy equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation and minimize fleet downtime. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills, hands-on mechanical experience, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Pay: $32–$38 per hour

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines, braking systems, fuel systems, and hydraulic components
  • Perform preventative maintenance, including oil changes, brake adjustments, alternator replacements, and other routine services
  • Inspect, repair, and replace defective parts, including gaskets, seals, and hydraulic components
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement effective repair solutions
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair documentation
  • Ensure all repairs and maintenance activities comply with company and industry safety standards
  • Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and prevent equipment failures
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar heavy equipment repair role
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, braking systems, fuel systems, and hydraulics
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair documentation
  • Experience using diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
  • ASE certification or equivalent technical certification
  • Experience maintaining and repairing commercial fleet vehicles
  • Familiarity with computerized diagnostic systems
  • Additional technical training in hydraulics, fuel systems, or related specialties
