Embedded Intelligence Analyst

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Embedded Intelligence Analyst based in Australia.

This role offers the opportunity to support a global trust and safety operation by delivering timely intelligence analysis on emerging risks, threats, and geopolitical developments.
You will monitor, investigate, and assess security-related events that may impact operations, reputation, and business continuity.
Working remotely within the Australian Western Standard Time zone, you will contribute to a 24/7 intelligence environment alongside experienced analysts and operational teams.
The role combines open-source intelligence, research, reporting, and risk assessment to support informed decision-making.
You will work on complex global issues requiring strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and sound judgement.

Accountabilities:

As an Embedded Intelligence Analyst, you will support intelligence operations by monitoring global events, conducting investigations, and producing actionable analysis that helps stakeholders understand and respond to emerging risks.

  • Monitor security incidents, geopolitical developments, and emerging trends using all-source intelligence, including alert feeds, traditional media, social media, and internal sources.
  • Assess potential impacts on personnel, operations, assets, events, and reputation, providing timely intelligence updates and recommendations.
  • Support trust and safety operations by identifying risks, investigating incidents, and contributing to response procedures.
  • Track employee movements and proximity to significant incidents or events, providing relevant reporting and guidance.
  • Participate in training exercises and operational drills to support incident preparedness and response processes.
  • Produce intelligence reports, forecasts, scenario analysis, and briefings for internal stakeholders.
  • Research, analyze, and synthesize large volumes of information into clear, accurate, and actionable intelligence products.
  • Conduct open-source investigations into individuals, organizations, and events to identify risk indicators and support operational decisions.
  • Respond to urgent information requests while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with established processes.
  • Collaborate with teams across intelligence, security, and operational functions to deliver high-quality analytical support.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical capabilities, intelligence research experience, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision.

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Security, Intelligence, Risk, Geopolitics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 1–3 years of experience in intelligence analysis, geopolitical risk, corporate security, government, law enforcement, due diligence, or a similar analytical role.
  • Strong understanding of security threats and the ability to assess their potential impact on organizations, personnel, and operations.
  • Excellent research skills with the ability to quickly analyze and synthesize information from multiple sources.
  • Experience with OSINT techniques, social media investigations, analytical tools, or intelligence platforms is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise intelligence reports.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Notion, or similar productivity tools; experience with analytical software is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and make sound decisions while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Fluent English communication skills required; additional language abilities are considered an advantage.
