What We're Looking For

Third Street Family Health Services is seeking a dynamic Director of Nursing to provide system-wide clinical leadership across our Federally Qualified Health Center network. This role is responsible for nursing practice oversight, medication management, infection prevention, staff development, competency validation, and regulatory readiness while supporting a culture of quality, safety, and exceptional patient care.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Provide clinical leadership across multiple medical and specialty care sites, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care and operational excellence.
  • Lead organization-wide medication management and infection prevention programs to maintain compliance with HRSA, Joint Commission, and regulatory standards.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee clinical competency programs that support workforce readiness, professional development, and patient safety.
  • Direct onboarding, orientation, and training initiatives for nursing and clinical support staff to ensure consistent practices across all locations.
  • Conduct site visits, audits, and readiness assessments to promote standardized workflows and continuous survey preparedness.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop clinical teams while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with medical, operational, quality, and HR leaders to drive clinical best practices, process improvement, and organizational performance.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • BNS required, MSN preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive clinical nursing experience in ambulatory or primary care.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, supervising or training healthcare staff.
  • Extensive knowledge of Joint Commission, HRSA, OSHA, CMS, and other regulatory standards.
  • Experience preparing organizations for accreditation or regulatory surveys.
  • Strong knowledge of infection control, medication safety, and clinical competencies.
  • Experience developing or implementing training and workforce readiness programs.
  • Understanding of regulatory and accreditation expectations (HRSA, Joint Commission, or similar).
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to travel between sites regularly (including valid driver's license).
