Job Description

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production operations during their shift at our canned beverage manufacturing facility. This position requires a strong leader with excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as a commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency.

This is a full-time, 2nd shift position. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 3pm to 11:30pm.

Responsibilities

Supervision

  • Supervise and coordinate production activities, including the operation of packaging lines, filling machines, and other production equipment, to meet production targets and quality standards.
  • Lead and motivate a team of production technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance and productivity.

Strategic Planning

  • Monitor production schedules and resource allocation to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime, making adjustments as necessary to meet changing demand and priorities.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs), conducting regular safety inspections and promoting a culture of safety awareness among team members.

Quality Control

  • Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure product integrity and consistency, collaborating with quality assurance personnel to address any deviations or issues.

Documentation

  • Maintain accurate production records, including production output, downtime, quality metrics, and inventory levels, and prepare reports as needed for management review.

Collaboration

  • Coordinate with maintenance staff to schedule preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment, minimizing disruptions to production schedules.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as planning, logistics, and quality assurance, to coordinate production activities, resolve issues, and implement improvements.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings, leading or participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency.
  • Foster a positive work environment characterized by teamwork, open communication, and mutual respect, addressing employee concerns and promoting professional development and growth opportunities.

All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Manufacturing experience, food and beverage industry is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively coach, motivate, and develop team members.
  • Solid understanding of production processes and equipment, as well as quality control principles and practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities.
