Resistance Welder

  • (Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing)
  • Status: Full-Time; Non-Exempt
  • Compensation: $20.00 - $30.00, Depends on Experience
  • Schedule: 1st Shift: 6:00 am – 2:00 pm, Monday - Friday / Overtime, including Saturdays, as needed

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate spot and seam resistance welding equipment.
  • Perform welding in accordance with approved weld schedules and engineering requirements.
  • Inspect materials and completed welds for compliance with specifications.
  • Test weld samples for strength, penetration, and nugget size requirements.
  • Verify materials and maintain welding process controls.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and machine qualifications.
  • Maintain production and quality records.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • U.S. citizenship required due to ITAR requirements.
  • Ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, and engineering drawings.
  • Experience using measuring equipment such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Aerospace manufacturing experience.
  • Experience working within AS9100 or NADCAP-controlled environments.
  • Knowledge of AWS welding standards and aerospace customer specifications.
  • Experience with welding stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, Inconel, and other aerospace alloys.

Physical Requirements

The physical requirements of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Frequent standing, walking, sitting, talking, hearing, seeing, writing, and typing.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds.
  • Occasional reaching, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, twisting, bending, and repetitive motion.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and safety shoes.
  • Vision correctable to 20/20, including the ability to distinguish colors and identify weld defects.
