Field Medical Advisor Belgium - HAE & Immunoglobulins

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Field Medical Advisor Belgium – HAE & Immunoglobulins based in Italy.

This is a strategic medical-facing role at the intersection of science, clinical practice, and stakeholder engagement within specialized therapeutic areas. The Field Medical Advisor acts as a trusted scientific partner to healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, and external experts, ensuring accurate and up-to-date medical knowledge is effectively shared. The role focuses on building long-term scientific relationships, supporting evidence generation, and contributing to the safe and effective use of innovative therapies. You will play a key part in translating complex clinical data into meaningful insights for the medical community while also gathering field intelligence to inform strategic decisions. Operating in a highly regulated and collaborative environment, the position requires strong scientific credibility and excellent interpersonal skills. This is a field-based, cross-functional role with significant exposure to international medical affairs practices and innovation-driven projects.

Accountabilities:
  • Build and maintain strong scientific relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare professionals, and external experts in relevant therapeutic areas.
  • Act as a primary scientific contact point, providing accurate, timely, and compliant medical and clinical information to external stakeholders and internal teams.
  • Organize and support scientific advisory boards, symposia, and educational events to facilitate knowledge exchange and scientific engagement.
  • Contribute to external expert development initiatives, including speaker programs, scientific collaborations, and investigator-initiated studies.
  • Support clinical trial activities by facilitating site feasibility assessments and contributing medical insights to study proposals and execution.
  • Monitor and report relevant market intelligence, including competitor activity, clinical developments, and emerging scientific trends.
  • Collaborate closely with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Marketing, and Sales teams to ensure alignment of scientific communication and strategy.
  • Ensure all activities comply with applicable regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry codes of conduct.
Requirements:
  • Medical degree (physician, pharmacist, or Master’s in Biomedical Sciences or equivalent scientific background).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, ideally in medical affairs, clinical, or specialty products roles.
  • Strong understanding of immunology or related therapeutic areas (HAE and immunoglobulins experience is an advantage).
  • Fluency in Dutch and French, with excellent English communication skills.
  • Strong ability to interpret and communicate scientific and clinical data effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Proven experience engaging with external experts and managing scientific relationships.
  • Excellent presentation, influencing, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of pharmaceutical regulations, compliance frameworks, and medical governance principles.
  • Strong organizational skills, strategic thinking, and ability to work independently in a field-based environment.
