Job Description

CDP Consultant

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a CDP Consultant based in Canada.

The CDP Consultant will help organizations unlock the value of customer data through modern Customer Data Platform capabilities, with an immediate focus on Adobe Real-Time CDP. You will act as a trusted advisor, connecting business objectives and marketing strategies with scalable technical solutions. The role combines client consulting, discovery, audience activation, data strategy, and marketing technology expertise. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, strategists, and digital marketing specialists to deliver personalized, data-driven customer experiences. You will also help clients operationalize CDP capabilities and maximize the value of their technology investments. The position is ideal for a curious, analytical consultant who can simplify complex concepts and identify opportunities to turn customer data into measurable marketing outcomes.

Accountabilities:
  • Serve as the day-to-day CDP consultant for clients, providing strategic guidance on platform capabilities, use cases, audience activation, and cross-channel engagement strategies.
  • Develop a strong understanding of client business objectives, marketing strategies, customer data, and desired outcomes to ensure CDP initiatives deliver measurable value.
  • Lead discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, and requirements-gathering activities to identify and prioritize CDP-driven marketing opportunities.
  • Translate business and marketing requirements into clear technical and functional requirements covering identity resolution, data governance, data modeling, ingestion, segmentation, activation, and audience reporting.
  • Partner with Solution Architects, Data Engineers, Marketing Strategists, and digital specialists to design and implement scalable CDP solutions.
  • Define activation strategies across paid media, email, SMS, web personalization, and other marketing automation channels.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on CDP implementations, advising clients on platform capabilities, limitations, best practices, and optimization opportunities.
  • Support the prioritization of activation-focused use cases around segmentation, personalization, and cross-channel customer engagement.
  • Create and maintain solution documentation covering CDP and downstream orchestration platforms.
  • Manage platform-related requests and collaborate with internal teams to prioritize and deliver enhancements and activation initiatives.
  • Work closely with project management teams to coordinate timelines, dependencies, and multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Provide hands-on guidance, training, and enablement to client teams so they can effectively operationalize CDP capabilities.
  • Promote strong information security and data privacy practices, including appropriate handling of sensitive customer data and compliance with applicable standards such as GDPR and CCPA.
  • Identify, assess, and communicate risks related to the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Remain curious about emerging CDP and marketing automation technologies and develop the flexibility to support platforms beyond Adobe Real-Time CDP.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in an agency, consulting, or similarly client-facing environment, with a strong track record of advising and collaborating with clients.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience working with Customer Data Platforms, particularly Adobe Real-Time CDP.
  • Strong understanding of CDP concepts, modern data infrastructure, customer identity, data governance, segmentation, and audience activation.
  • Practical experience configuring Adobe Real-Time CDP, including creating and managing complex audiences.
  • Strong consulting, communication, stakeholder management, and requirements-gathering skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business recommendations.
  • Ability to understand marketing objectives and translate them into scalable technical and activation strategies.
  • Familiarity with the broader Adobe ecosystem is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Adobe Tags and Adobe Experience Platform SDK implementation is an advantage.
  • Experience with analytics platforms such as Google Analytics or Customer Journey Analytics is a plus.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is desirable.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation platforms and A/B testing tools is beneficial.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics, Data Science, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada.
Benefits
  • Annual salary range of $118,000–$172,000, with individual compensation determined by experience, education, training, and organizational needs.
  • Remote working opportunity in Canada.
  • Opportunity to work on enterprise-scale customer data, personalization, and marketing technology initiatives.
  • Exposure to Adobe Real-Time CDP and a broad range of CDP, analytics, marketing automation, and digital experience technologies.
  • Collaborative environment working alongside Solution Architects, Data Engineers, Marketing Strategists, project managers, and digital specialists.
  • Opportunities to develop expertise across multiple CDP and marketing automation platforms.
  • Professional growth through hands-on client consulting, technology transformation, and complex data-driven initiatives.
  • Inclusive, equal-opportunity workplace with accessibility accommodations available throughout the hiring process.
  • Opportunity to contribute to innovative customer experience and AI-enabled digital transformation initiatives.
