Material Receiving SMD (2nd Shift) in Clinton, Tennessee at SL Tennessee

• • 1) To accurately label, receive, and ship material for SMD materials, organize, and put away
    in SMD clean room

1) The primary responsibility is to accurately receive material, SMD is main focus
a. Follows and understand departmental procedures.
b. Upon receipt, verify material for receipt and print labels with SMD label software
c. Receive and put away product that comes in through the receiving department
d. Strong attention to detail is a must in this position
e. Completion of all necessary receiving paperwork.
f. Operates materials handling equipment (forklift- sitdown,stand-up, and picker lifts)
g. Performs other duties as assigned.
h. Uses handheld scanner to receive and issue stock.
i. Maintain stock accuracy

2) Prepare and label all outbound shipments.
a. Verify and ensure all quantities are correct.
b. Prepare truck sheet.
c. Scan truck sheet and labels per customer order request.
d. Load truck
e. Maintain paperwork
f. Maintain stock accuracy

Physical Demands

1) Standing: 50%
2) Sitting: 50%
3) Lifting: 40% (Less than 50 lbs.)

Education

1) High School Diploma
2) Prefer one year of experience in materials department, shipping receiving, inventory control.
3) Proven ability to analyze problems.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

1) Ability to use computers and typing accuracy is a must.
2) Ability to work at a fast pace.
3) Understanding of basic inventory principals.
4) Previous forklift experience preferred.
5) Previous scanner experience preferred.
