Material Distributor I at International Imaging Materials, Inc – Amherst, New York

About the Role:

As a Material Distributor I in our Durable Goods Manufacturing company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials throughout our production process. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products, as well as maintaining accurate inventory records. Your attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be essential to your success in this role. You will report to the Materials Manager and work closely with other members of the production team.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
• Basic computer skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Forklift certification
• Experience with inventory management software
• Strong organizational and time management skills

Responsibilities:

• Receive and inspect incoming materials and products
• Store materials and products in designated areas
• Distribute materials and products to production areas as needed
• Maintain accurate inventory records using computerized systems
• Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories

Skills:

In this role, you will use your attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure that materials and products are distributed accurately and efficiently. You will also use your physical abilities to lift and move materials as needed. Your computer skills will be utilized to maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular cycle counts. Additionally, your forklift certification and experience with inventory management software will be beneficial in this role. Overall, your ability to work collaboratively with other members of the production team and maintain a high level of accuracy and efficiency will be critical to your success as a Material Distributor I.
