Job Description

Position Summary

Reifel Industries is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our Quality team. This position is responsible for monitoring manufacturing processes, performing quality testing, maintaining process controls, and supporting continuous improvement efforts to ensure products meet customer and company quality standards.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, analytical, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work closely with production and other departments.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain quality standards throughout the manufacturing process
  • Perform analytical testing and process monitoring according to established schedules
  • Test and verify product quality, including paint thickness, adhesion, and cure testing
  • Monitor chemical processes and make adjustments to maintain process specifications
  • Perform laboratory testing and accurately document results
  • Investigate process issues and assist with corrective actions
  • Monitor production lines for quality concerns and communicate issues promptly
  • Perform inspections and identify non-conforming products
  • Complete quality documentation, reports, and database entries accurately
  • Perform equipment calibrations and verification checks as required
  • Maintain accurate records of testing results and process data
  • Support troubleshooting efforts and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Participate in team problem-solving activities
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory and work area
  • Follow all safety procedures when working with chemicals and equipment
  • Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Qualifications
  • Excellent attendance and reliability required
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions and procedures
  • Strong math and basic science skills
  • Computer literate with ability to enter and maintain data
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team
  • Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and different shifts as needed
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must successfully complete required pre-employment screening
  • Forklift certification preferred
  • Previous experience in quality inspection, manufacturing, material handling, laboratory testing, scales, or E-Coat processes preferred
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Manufacturing and laboratory environment
  • Frequent exposure to production equipment, chemicals, and industrial processes
  • Must follow all safety requirements and wear appropriate PPE
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift materials throughout the shift
  • Ability to work around chemical processes while following established safety procedures
