The One Stop Specialist I provides essential support to students throughout their academic journey by helping them navigate financial aid, student accounts, registration, and administrative processes.
This role serves as a key point of contact, delivering responsive and personalized service to ensure students receive accurate guidance and timely solutions.
Working within a collaborative remote environment, the specialist partners with internal teams to resolve issues and improve the overall student experience.
The position requires strong attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced educational setting.

The One Stop Specialist I is responsible for providing comprehensive student support across multiple administrative areas, ensuring accurate information, efficient issue resolution, and a positive student experience. The role involves collaborating with internal departments, maintaining compliance with applicable regulations, and supporting students through key processes from enrollment to completion.
- Serve as a primary contact for students regarding financial aid, student accounts, registration, and general service inquiries.
- Provide guidance on financial aid applications, eligibility requirements, verification processes, and application status while following applicable policies and regulations.
- Assist students with account-related questions, including payments, holds, refunds, and outstanding balances.
- Review student records, run reports, identify discrepancies, and coordinate with relevant teams to resolve account issues.
- Support registration processes, graduation inquiries, document collection, and student service requests.
- Assist military-affiliated students by providing information on available programs, collecting required documentation, and maintaining accurate eligibility records.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely resolution of student concerns and maintain consistent service standards.
- Track missing documentation and maintain accurate records in accordance with institutional procedures.
- Perform administrative tasks and additional responsibilities as needed to support departmental goals.
The ideal candidate brings experience in student services, financial aid, customer support, or a related field, with strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences. The successful candidate should be comfortable working independently in a remote environment while maintaining a strong focus on student needs.
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in student financial aid, student accounts, customer service, or a closely related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Experience working in higher education environments is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with excellent interpersonal, listening, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to explain complex information clearly and professionally through written and verbal communication.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent follow-up, organization, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to analyze information, interpret records, and resolve issues accurately.
- Comfortable working with databases, reports, and administrative systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
- Ability to manage changing workloads, interruptions, and competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
