About the Role:

The Journeyman Electrician plays a critical role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings across the United States. This position requires a thorough understanding of electrical codes, safety standards, and technical schematics to ensure all work is performed safely and efficiently. The Journeyman Electrician will collaborate closely with project managers, apprentices, and other tradespeople to complete projects on time and within budget. This role demands a high level of problem-solving skills to diagnose electrical issues and implement effective solutions. Ultimately, the Journeyman Electrician ensures the reliable operation of electrical systems that support the infrastructure and daily activities of clients and communities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid Journeyman Electrician license or certification recognized in the United States.
• Completion of an accredited electrical apprenticeship program or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with specialized electrical systems such as HVAC, fire alarm, or renewable energy installations.
• Additional certifications such as OSHA safety training or first aid/CPR.
• Familiarity with electrical estimating and project management software.
• Experience working in both residential and commercial electrical environments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with a track record of diagnosing complex electrical issues.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures according to relevant codes and safety standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and specifications to determine the layout of electrical systems.
• Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers, to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with clients to provide updates and ensure project requirements are met.

• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each project.
