Book Keeper

Bookkeeper

Cork & Pig Tavern is looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Bookkeeper to join our accounting team. This position will support the day-to-day financial operations of our growing restaurant group and will work closely with our Corporate Accounting and Operations teams.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, comfortable working with large amounts of financial information, and able to identify and resolve discrepancies before they become larger issues. Restaurant or multi-unit accounting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and timely financial records for multiple restaurant locations

  • Process and code invoices, ensuring expenses are assigned to the correct location and account

  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes

  • Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations and research discrepancies

  • Reconcile credit card and other payment activity

  • Review transactions for accuracy, completeness, and proper coding

  • Assist with month-end closing procedures

  • Monitor outstanding invoices and assist with vendor account reconciliation

  • Enter and maintain financial information in Restaurant365 (R365)

  • Assist with maintaining accurate vendor, customer, and account information

  • Review restaurant financial activity and investigate unusual or incorrect transactions

  • Assist with payroll-related accounting and reconciliation as needed

  • Maintain organized electronic records and supporting documentation

  • Work with restaurant managers to resolve accounting questions and discrepancies

  • Communicate with vendors regarding invoices, statements, payments, and account questions

  • Assist the accounting team with reporting, audits, and other accounting projects

  • Help ensure accounting procedures are consistently followed across all Cork & Pig locations

  • Provide additional accounting support as needed as the company continues to grow

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred

  • Restaurant or multi-location accounting experience is a plus

  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles

  • Experience with accounts payable, reconciliations, and general ledger activity

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills

  • Ability to identify discrepancies and independently research solutions

  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets and accounting software

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with both accounting and restaurant operations teams

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines

  • High level of integrity and confidentiality when handling financial information

  • Restaurant365 experience is preferred but not required

Because Cork & Pig operates multiple locations, this position requires someone who can keep track of a high volume of transactions while understanding how individual restaurant activity affects the overall business.

You should be comfortable working independently while also being a strong team player and communicating with both our corporate accounting team and restaurant-level management.
