Senior Help Desk Specialist in Haymarket, Virginia at QBE Federal

When intelligence analysts hit a technical problem, the mission can't wait. QBE is looking for a Senior Help Desk Specialist to give top-level technical support to Scalable GEOINT users from the Fort Gordon, GA, help desk. You'll solve hardware and software problems in person, by phone or electronically, and work independently to provide hands-on support in the field.

What you will do

• Be the first call for users, solving technical issues in person, by phone or electronically, from printing and email to installations and operating systems.
• Keep a close eye on the daily performance of computer systems.
• Set up equipment for users, including cabling, operating systems and software.
• Work through technical manuals, user conversations and diagnostics to find and fix the root cause.
• Answer user questions about software and hardware quickly and clearly.
• Install and repair hardware, software and peripherals to design and installation specifications.

What you bring
Must have

• 5+ years of experience in user and field support.
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Qualifications: Extensive experience and the ability to work independently in the field, providing hands-on help.
• Certifications: ITIL Foundation and CompTIA Security+.
• Cyber certification: DoWM 8140.03 baseline certification and CE certification before privileged access.
