Rockland Manufacturing, a well-known, respected, family-owned construction equipment manufacturer with an excellent reputation for quality and on-time shipments, is looking for a Territory Manager to cover the Greater New England area, New York and New Jersey. What You’ll Be Doing:
This is a home-based, field sales position focused on heavy equipment dealer branch locations throughout the Greater New England area, New Jersey and New York. Our Territory Managers spend the majority of their time on the road visiting dealer branches, building relationships with key branch personnel, and generating quote activity. This team puts a lot of value in activity, hustle, planning, and execution.
You’ll work with heavy equipment distribution partners to service the industry by:
- Generating quote activity through consistent dealer branch visits
- Conducting approximately 14 in person sales calls per week
- Building strong relationships with branch managers, service managers, salespeople, and other key decision makers
- Identifying barriers to growth and helping close the quote gap
- Conducting dealer branch sales training
- Managing quote volume and sales pipeline activity
- Maintaining accurate and current contact information for target dealer locations
- Creating and executing effective route plans
- Executing Rockland’s sales process with consistency and discipline
- Learning Rockland products, applications, programs, and offers through ongoing self-study
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of sales experience
- Strong ability to build relationships quickly
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong time management, organization, and planning skills
- High level of hustle, activity, and personal accountability
- Ability to execute a plan with minimal direct supervision
- Comfortable with significant (75%) overnight travel
- CRM experience and strong attention to detail
- Microsoft Office skills
- Valid driver’s license required
Preferred Experience:
- B2B sales experience
- Construction equipment, heavy equipment, or mechanical aptitude
- Experience selling through dealers, distributors, or branch-based organizations
- Epicor CRM experience
