Job Description

We are looking for a Logistics Planner with manufacturing experience, preferably in the automotive field.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Planning and implementation of logistics concepts and material flows
- Prepares the logistics concepts for new projects and for changes in current projects
- Attend Project meetings and support in Logistics related topics
- Conception, development and sourcing of loading carriers and packaging suppliers
- Analysis and evaluation of customer-specific receivables
- Collaboration in interdisciplinary project teams to achieve strategic corporate goals
- Planning and conceptual design of "internal" logistics and of material flows within production halls
- Independently responsible for the preparation and adherence to the budget in the relevant area of responsibility
- Responsible for maintaining and updating VP Packaging Instructions.
- Responsible for maintaining and updating PD Packaging Instructions.
- Responsible for supplier communication and management.
- The jobholder is responsible for compliance with the environmental and occupational safety regulations as well as all relevant official and legal regulations
- Understanding and tracking tariff policies
- Responsible for packaging inventory
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills, Education and Experience
- Successfully completed studies in business economies with a focus on logistics or comparable education / other professional qualifications (business or supply chain)
- Ideally multiple years of experience in the automotive sector as well as in logistics
- Cost and responsibility awareness as well as a systematic and structured working processes
- Ability to work in a team
- Basic Skills in ERP-Software
- Well above normal verbal and written communication skills.
- Articulate, professional appearance and use of time management.
- Ability to hold a passport and travel within Germany without accompaniment.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
