Job Description

Technical Project Manager III | Infrastructure & Capacity

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Technical Project Manager III | Infrastructure & Capacity based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to lead large-scale infrastructure and hardware capacity programs across highly technical environments.
You will operate at the intersection of engineering, infrastructure, data center operations, hardware capacity, and supply chain teams.
As a key cross-functional connector, you will help move complex initiatives forward while addressing technical and operational challenges.
The position combines program leadership with hands-on support for engineering escalations, capacity planning, and infrastructure efficiency.
You will influence multiple technical stakeholders, resolve blockers, and manage dependencies in a fast-moving environment.
This is an ideal opportunity for a technically strong program leader who enjoys solving complex problems and driving execution with autonomy.

Accountabilities:
  • Drive complex technical programs across engineering, infrastructure, data center, hardware, and capacity teams.
  • Coordinate cross-organizational projects involving multiple technical teams and stakeholders.
  • Provide frontline support for engineering escalations related to infrastructure and capacity.
  • Partner with engineering teams to identify blockers, resolve conflicts, and keep critical initiatives progressing.
  • Support hardware capacity planning and infrastructure efficiency initiatives.
  • Coordinate supply chain activities between hardware programs and infrastructure partners.
  • Review project plans, dependencies, risks, and resource requirements to support successful execution.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, knowledge bases, and self-service resources.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and automate support processes and internal tooling.
  • Communicate program status, risks, dependencies, and key decisions clearly across technical stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in Technical Program Management or Technical Project Management.
  • Hands-on experience managing programs within infrastructure and/or data center environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive complex projects across multiple engineering teams and organizations.
  • Strong technical understanding of infrastructure, hardware, compute, capacity, or related systems.
  • Experience working directly with engineering stakeholders in fast-paced technical environments.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to independently drive programs forward with limited direction.
  • Experience managing technical escalations and navigating competing priorities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience with public cloud environments such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is preferred.
  • Experience supporting hyperscale compute, cloud infrastructure, or capacity programs is preferred.
  • Experience in hardware supply chain or infrastructure capacity planning is a plus.
  • Experience building or improving technical support systems, documentation, knowledge bases, or automation is preferred.
  • Familiarity with SQL or other technical tools used to support infrastructure programs is a plus.
  • PMI or PMP certification is preferred.
  • An MBA or related advanced degree is a plus.
  • Experience in large-scale infrastructure, cloud, data center, hardware, or compute environments is highly relevant.
  • The role is best suited to a hands-on technical program leader rather than a traditional waterfall Project Manager or purely business-focused PMO professional.
  • English proficiency is required.
  • Candidates must be able to work in the United States without requiring current or future sponsorship.

Benefits:

  • Remote position in the United States.
  • Contract position of 6+ months.
  • 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
  • 8-hour workday.
  • Dental insurance.
  • Health insurance.
  • Health savings account.
  • Life insurance.
  • Paid time off.
  • Retirement plan.
  • Vision insurance.
