Director, IT & Business Enablement

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, IT & Business Enablement based in United States.

As Director, IT & Business Enablement, you will lead the systems, tools, and technology experience that enable a global workforce to operate effectively.
You will own the full lifecycle of the internal technology environment, from endpoint provisioning and SaaS management to identity systems and employee support.
A key part of the role is driving secure, practical AI adoption across internal workflows and technology systems to improve efficiency and return on investment.
You will balance reliability, security, usability, and business speed while continuously identifying opportunities for automation and optimization.
The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on technology operations, vendor management, budgeting, and cross-functional partnership.
You will also build and develop a high-performing IT team while creating scalable processes, documentation, and support systems that act as force multipliers for the organization.

Accountabilities:
  • Own, build, and scale the IT infrastructure, systems, processes, and team responsible for supporting the technology needs of a global workforce.
  • Manage the complete employee technology experience, including new-hire equipment, IT onboarding, endpoint provisioning, application deployment, patching, asset management, and device retirement.
  • Hire, mentor, and develop IT team members while establishing the capabilities and operating practices needed to support evolving business requirements.
  • Administer identity and access management systems that provide secure and appropriate access to corporate applications, systems, and infrastructure.
  • Lead secure AI adoption across the organization by identifying high-value use cases, integrating AI capabilities into internal systems and workflows, evaluating AI vendors, and continuously optimizing AI tooling for effectiveness and ROI.
  • Own the internal SaaS and technology stack, evaluating, selecting, consolidating, expanding, and optimizing tools to ensure teams have the right technology and are using it effectively.
  • Partner with finance on software and hardware budgets, vendor relationships, purchasing decisions, utilization, and cost optimization, translating technical choices into clear financial and ROI considerations.
  • Establish and maintain comprehensive IT documentation, processes, support workflows, and internal training programs that improve adoption, consistency, and employee productivity.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in IT management, systems administration, technology operations, or a related discipline, including at least 5 years of experience leading and developing teams.
  • Proven experience managing endpoint lifecycles at scale, including provisioning, deployment, application management, patching, and retirement, ideally within a fully remote or hybrid-remote workforce.
  • Strong hands-on experience managing modern SaaS environments, including identity and access management, mobile or endpoint management, collaboration platforms, and other enterprise productivity tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to make thoughtful build-versus-buy and consolidate-versus-expand technology decisions based on business requirements, usability, security, and value.
  • Proven experience leading the adoption and integration of AI into business workflows, including deploying AI-powered support solutions, automating processes, evaluating AI vendors, and driving organization-wide adoption.
  • Experience managing software and hardware budgets and vendor relationships, with the ability to communicate technology investments, costs, utilization, and ROI to finance and senior leadership.
  • Strong track record of building IT documentation, operational processes, support systems, and scalable workflows from the ground up.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts and decisions for engineering teams, finance stakeholders, leadership, and non-technical employees.
Benefits
  • For high-cost-of-living U.S. locations such as San Francisco, Seattle, and New York City, an expected salary range of $200,000–$230,000 USD, plus bonus eligibility and equity.
  • For other U.S. locations, an expected salary range of $180,000–$220,000 USD, plus bonus eligibility and equity.
  • Compensation may vary based on qualifications, relevant experience, potential impact, role scope, market conditions, and work location; remote compensation may be localized based on employee location.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage for eligible U.S. employees.
  • Retirement benefits with company contributions, along with equity opportunities.
  • Parental leave and mental health and wellness benefits.
  • Flexible paid time off and a professional development stipend.
  • Location-specific benefits may be available for employees outside the United States and will be discussed during the interview process.
  • Remote work environment with the opportunity to support a global workforce and shape the technology systems used across the organization.
  • If hired, employees will be invited to visit Ann Arbor, Michigan for in-person onboarding.
