Role Summary
The Programming Associate is responsible for supporting the day-to-day execution, coordination, promotion, and marketing of ATA’s programming and communications initiatives to drive awareness, participation, and sustained engagement across the organization.
This role supports ATA’s portfolio of programming, educational initiatives, publications, research communications, professional education, provider engagement, and community engagement efforts.
A key component of this role focuses on content development, content marketing, and multi-channel marketing execution across ATA programming initiatives. This includes developing and repurposing promotional and educational content, supporting audience engagement campaigns, coordinating digital communications, maintaining an integrated program marketing calendar, supporting cross-promotion across ATA initiatives, and helping increase visibility and participation across programs and outreach efforts.
Working closely with the Programming and Development teams, and supporting implementation of broader marketing strategies established by ATA leadership and outside agency partners, this position provides operational, communications, marketing, and administrative support to ensure successful program delivery, audience engagement, and organizational growth. The Programming Associate plays a key role in coordinating program logistics, speaker and participant support, scheduling, travel arrangements, program tracking, communications, and day-to-day marketing execution across ATA programming activities.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing, Content, & Communications Execution (50%)
- Execute and support content marketing, communications, and promotional efforts across ATA programming initiatives, educational offerings, publications, research activities, provider resources, events, and outreach campaigns
- Create high-quality written and digital content across channels, including websites, email campaigns, social media, newsletters, podcasts, program materials, promotional campaigns, educational resources, and program-related content that can support fundraising communications
- Maintain an integrated marketing and content calendar across ATA programs to support consistent promotion, coordinated timing, and cross-promotion of related initiatives
- Support marketing and promotional activities across ATA programming initiatives and community engagement efforts
- Assist in promoting auditory health outreach and awareness activities, including conferences, festivals, public engagement initiatives, and related events
- Translate clinical, research, and programmatic information into clear, engaging, audience-specific messaging for patient, professional, donor, and public audiences
- Support development and maintenance of foundational and evergreen content that promotes ATA programs, educational initiatives, advocacy efforts, and organizational priorities
- Repurpose content from publications, webinars, podcasts, research updates, ATA Academy, provider initiatives, and other ATA programs for use across digital channels
- Manage and support ATA’s digital communication channels, including routine website updates, email marketing, social media publishing, program promotions, and audience engagement campaigns
- Coordinate campaign timelines, marketing assets, and communications deployment across teams and organizational initiatives
- Identify opportunities to connect and cross-promote ATA programs so audiences are introduced to relevant resources, educational offerings, events, and engagement opportunities
- Partner with Programming and Development teams to ensure messaging accurately reflects program goals, outcomes, impact, and fundraising priorities
- Support Development by providing program-related content, impact stories, participant stories, research updates, and other materials for use in fundraising, sponsorship, and donor communications
- Develop and coordinate shareable promotional materials for speakers, researchers, providers, universities, volunteers, community partners, and other ATA collaborators to help extend ATA’s reach through their networks
- Support routine outreach and promotion for ATA Academy, webinars, podcasts, the Provider Network, research initiatives, publications, and community outreach programs
- Track and evaluate audience engagement and marketing performance metrics, including email engagement, registrations, attendance, audience growth, website engagement, social media performance, and digital engagement trends
- Prepare basic recurring marketing and program engagement reports and identify trends that can inform future promotional efforts
- Identify day-to-day opportunities to improve program visibility, reach, audience participation, and engagement, and share observations with ATA leadership to help inform broader marketing decisions
- Coordinate with outside agency partners as needed by providing program information, content, assets, scheduling support, and internal follow-up for website, marketing, publicity, and other strategic initiatives
- Support ATA leadership and outside agency partners with materials, scheduling, background information, and coordination related to media, publicity, and speaking opportunities
- Ensure consistency in voice, tone, clarity, accessibility, and brand standards across all communications and marketing materials
- Provide copy editing and proofreading support across programming and organizational communications to maintain high-quality and accurate messaging
- Provide day-to-day coordination and administrative support across ATA programming initiatives, educational offerings, publications, events, and community engagement efforts
- Assist with planning, scheduling, tracking, and execution of program activities, educational series, webinars, meetings, conferences, podcasts, publications, and community engagement initiatives
- Coordinate speaker, instructor, contributor, volunteer, and participant logistics, including scheduling, travel arrangements, communication, onboarding, and resource distribution
- Support administrative coordination for provider education programming, conferences, outreach activities, promotional events, and community engagement initiatives
- Assist with coordination of patient and public inquiries received through ATA’s main phone line by connecting individuals with appropriate educational resources, support programs, and organizational initiatives
- Coordinate program communications, materials, timelines, meeting logistics, follow-up activities, and registration support to ensure successful program delivery
- Maintain organized program documentation, calendars, databases, tracking systems, marketing assets, and content libraries
- Assist with participant communications, surveys, follow-up communications, and distribution of educational and promotional resources
- Support ongoing program evaluation and reporting by helping track participation, engagement, and program performance metrics
- Collaborate across departments to ensure smooth coordination and alignment of programming priorities, communications efforts, marketing initiatives, and organizational objectives
- Support special projects and organizational initiatives as assigned to advance ATA programming, educational outreach, and community engagement goals
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Healthcare Administration, Education, or related field
- Approximately 1 to 3 years of professional experience in program coordination, communications, marketing, nonprofit operations, or related roles; experience in healthcare, nonprofit, scientific, or educational organizations preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex medical, research, or educational information for diverse audiences
- Experience supporting program administration, educational initiatives, publications, newsletters, podcasts, webinars, or community engagement efforts preferred
- Experience managing social media platforms, email campaigns, website content, and digital communications tools
- Experience creating, adapting, and repurposing content for multiple audiences and digital channels preferred
- Demonstrated organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across departments and coordinate with outside agency partners
- Familiarity with digital marketing, audience engagement, social media, email marketing, website content management, and basic SEO principles preferred
- Ability to work within established marketing strategies and brand guidelines while independently managing day-to-day execution
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and capacity to work independently in a remote environment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Work Environment
ATA is a fully remote workplace. This position requires occasional travel for donor meetings, staff retreats, conferences, and events.
