General Laborer - Aggregate Pit in Roswell, New Mexico at J&H Services, Inc.

J&H Services is seeking a dependable and hardworking Concrete Pit General Laborer to join our team. This position is responsible for assisting with the production of precast concrete products, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and supporting daily operations within the concrete pit and plant. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, reliable, and willing to perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with pouring, placing, and finishing concrete products.
• Prepare and clean concrete forms before and after production.
• Strip forms and remove finished concrete products using proper techniques.
• Load, unload, and move materials, tools, and equipment as directed.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment safely.
• Assist with reinforcing steel placement, form assembly, and concrete placement.
• Maintain cleanliness of the concrete pit, production area, and surrounding yard.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleanup of equipment and work areas.
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and proper PPE requirements.
• Work alongside supervisors and team members to meet daily production goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous construction, concrete, or general labor experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
• Dependable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift more with assistance.
• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, climb, and reach throughout the workday.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, and rain.
• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods.
