Sewing Attendant - Part Time in Kansas City, Missouri at Kansas City Marriott Downtown

JOB SUMMARY:

Ensures uniform and linen repairs and mending tasks are completed in a timely fashion. Oversees the fittings and alterations of associate uniforms.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Responsible for making repairs on all uniforms.

2. Handles the fittings for all new hires with proper uniform assignment.

3. Prepares and submits manager-signed uniform orders to management.

4. Repairs and mends hotel drapes and bedspreads, mattress pads.

5. Keeps inventory of sewing supplies and recommends purchases when needed.

6. Hangs and maintains accurate line of assigned uniforms.

7. Inspects assigned uniforms for quality assurance.

8. Discards and reports discarded uniforms.

9. Other projects and duties as assigned by management.

1. Previous seamstress experience preferred.

2. Physical strength and dexterity to operate necessary machinery and perform all required duties; jobs may require frequent bending, standing, sitting.

3. Friendly demeanor in order to interact positively with hotel associates.
