Job Description

Role: Franchise Business Consultant – International (must reside in Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Singapore)

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Director of International Franchise Operations and Director of International Franchise Training to develop and implement strategies that drive franchisee performance, focusing on sales growth, operational efficiency, and brand consistency across international markets.
  • Foster trusted, culturally sensitive relationships with franchisees to enhance collaboration, ensuring effective communication and alignment with Magnolia Bakery’s vision and brand standards.
  • Provide hands-on coaching to franchisees on key operational areas, including menu execution, labor management, guest experience, and compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Analyze financial and operational data (e.g., sales reports, P&Ls, KPIs) to identify performance gaps, develop action plans, and drive measurable improvements in franchisee profitability and royalty contributions.
  • Support new store openings by guiding franchisees through onboarding, pre-opening preparations, and post-launch optimization, collaborating with training and operations teams to ensure seamless launches.
  • Conduct regular operational reviews and audits to ensure franchisees adhere to brand standards, addressing discrepancies through targeted coaching and corrective action plans.
  • Adapt strategies and action plans to local market dynamics, leveraging cultural awareness to tailor solutions that resonate with regional consumer preferences while maintaining brand integrity.
  • Monitor and report franchisee performance metrics to international franchise leadership team, providing insights and recommendations to enhance operational and financial outcomes across the international portfolio.

Qualifications & Ingredients for Success

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in franchise operations, business consulting, or operational support within the QSR, fast-casual, or hospitality industry, with a focus on international markets.
  • Demonstrated success in coaching franchisees to achieve sales, profitability, and operational goals in diverse cultural and economic environments.
  • Experience supporting new store openings, including training, operational setup, and post-launch performance optimization.
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills, with proficiency in interpreting P&Ls, sales trends, and KPIs to drive data-informed decisions
  • Effective planning and prioritization skills to support meeting strict deadlines and timeframes
  • Prepare and deliver monthly business reviews
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear, constructive feedback and build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
  • Collaborative mindset with experience working cross-functionally with training, marketing, and supply chain teams to drive franchisee success.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, PPT and Excel) and FranConnect or other project management tools is a must
  • Candidate must be located within Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Singapore
  • Valid passport and ability to travel internationally (up to 75% of the time) to support franchisees and new openings.
  • Ability to travel as necessary to the Home Office in New York City for company meetings and / or Discovery Days.
