POSITION SUMMARY

Assist customers determining their supply needs, source and arrange the delivery of such supplies to the customer. Up-sell additional products and supplies. Support WBI sales and external sales made by Outside Sales Representatives.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Determine customers’ needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions
2. Follow a product/supply checklist for each customer’s job and up-sell additional products and supplies
3. Answer telephones and enter sales orders
4. Interact with walk-in customers, enter orders, and ensure they leave satisfied
5. Support Outside Sales with customer orders, quotes, take offs, etc.
6. Work with Purchasing Rep when sourcing high volume order quantities for customer orders
7. Accept payment and apply it to the appropriate customer account
8. Coordinate customer pick-ups with the warehouse
9. Follow up on deliveries to ensure materials arrived on time with all items accounted for
10. Address and resolve service concerns, should they arise
11. Maintain timely and effective paper flow within department and other departments
12. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
13. Performs all assigned tasks, responsibilities, and related work processes in the safest possible manner, always ensuring that a safe, accident/incident-free work environment is maintained for all coworkers, clients, suppliers, etc. at all times.

OTHER DUTIES

1. Make recommendations to Sales Manager for new product lines and pricing to remain competitive in the market.
2. Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as: discounts, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
3. Train any additional customer service reps when or if hired.
4. Attend relevant product training to increase knowledge as required.
5. Attend and participate in relevant trade shows as required.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

1. High school diploma / GED
2. 2 years of relevant inside sales experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

1. Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
2. Ability to plan, prioritize and execute a daily routine
3. Knowledge of products that we offer
4. Driven to deliver excellent customer service
5. Industry relevant product knowledge - Required
6. Computer skills (typing, email, internet, Office / Excel) – Required

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

1. Valid driver’s license
2. OSHA 10-Hour Certification – Required
3. Forklift Operator Certification - Required
