Company Driver / Administrative Assistant in Santa Maria, California at New Heights Ventures Inc

Location: Onsite / Travel to individual worksites

Terms: Flexible: Part or Full Time - Hourly $21.00

Schedule: Flexible, including some weekends

Job Summary:

We’re seeking a reliable and compassionate Company Driver to support our administrative and direct service teams. This role is essential in helping individuals with developmental disabilities access their communities safely and comfortably. Duties include transportation to medical appointments, social outings, and daily commuting, as well as occasional support with administrative errands and supply pickups.

Essential Functions:

Assists NHV with transportation needs of person served / team members

Assist NHV leadership team & coordinators in acquiring urgent supplies

Assists in other projects or duties as assigned by leadership team

Qualifications:

• Having patience in slow communication situations
• Ability to navigate tasks independently and remain calm under pressure.
• Willing to learn and adapt to various situations.
• Writing legibly and in proper English for documentation needs
• Current First Aid and CPR certification required, or willingness to complete in-house training.
• Possess and maintain appropriate driving record, meeting company requirements

• Free from any physical limitations that would prevent the team member from performing essential job duties, either with or without reasonable accommodation
• Free to lift up to 50 pounds if needed. Loading/unloading of wheelchairs into vehicle may be required.
