Overview

As a TAG Expert Intelligence OSINT Analyst, you will provide advanced open-source intelligence (OSINT) and digital research support to U.S. Naval Special Warfare intelligence teams. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and processing open-source and classified information to produce timely, actionable intelligence that supports operational planning, threat assessments, and mission execution. You will conduct research on emerging operational scenarios, evaluate policies and capabilities, identify intelligence gaps, and provide subject matter expertise on evolving OSINT technologies, methodologies, and best practices in support of dynamic, time-sensitive operations.

*This position is contingent upon contract award. Anticipated start date is 1 Sept 2026.

Security Requirement:

  • Must hold an adjudicated Top-Secret clearance with the ability to access Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Request for Information (RFI) Production Support. Alone or as a part of a team, research, acquire, process, analyze, and fuse data to derive usable intelligence. Interact with others, including across the Intelligence Community (IC) to achieve useful results. Generate tailored intelligence data, products and services that meet the needs of the MSC.
  • Operational Planning Support. Alone or as part of a team, research, analyze, and generate data, products, or services that support operational planning across the entire spectrum of SOF conflict. Assist in developing tactical recommendations to operations planners. Assist in generating operational plans (OPLANs), concept plans (CONPLANs), concepts of operations (CONOPS), and other mission feasibility and planning products as needed.
  • Process Improvement Support. Alone or as part of a team, periodically review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), technical procedures, best practices, hardware and software tools, and data sources and repositories to determine if they remain effective and relevant or if new ones are required. Assist in drafting requirements for new capabilities.
  • Training and Qualification Support. Alone or as part of a team, as directed acquire, review, edit, or generate new training materials and modules pertaining to OSINT/DR activities. As needed, provide that training to junior analysts. Recommend qualification standards for analysts.

Position Requirements:

  • Work as part of a small intelligence fusion team supporting the production of intelligence assessments for deployed Naval Special Warfare (NSW) forces. Analysts must be skilled, experienced, and available to work flexible or alternate schedules as mission requirements dictate.
  • Possess or be able to obtain a valid U.S. passport.
  • Demonstrate the ability to research, collect, process, and analyze Publicly Available Information (PAI) and other intelligence data; synthesize findings; draw conclusions; and develop solutions to intelligence- and IT-related challenges.
  • Possess extensive knowledge of intelligence data types, formats, structures, databases, and the content and applicability of existing intelligence data repositories.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Exhibit strong work ethic, attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear, complete correspondence in military format when required.
  • Have a minimum of three (3) years of experience as an OSINT/Digital Research (DR) Analyst.
  • Possess a foundational understanding of data management, including extracting, transforming, loading (ETL), and converting data into structured databases.
  • Demonstrate experience working across multiple intelligence disciplines (e.g., HUMINT, IMINT, GEOINT, SIGINT, OSINT) and an understanding of the associated data, systems, and analytical tools.
  • Demonstrate expert-level proficiency in researching, collecting, processing, analyzing, and fusing OSINT with other intelligence sources and databases to produce actionable intelligence. Possess extensive knowledge of current commercial and government OSINT/DR tools, technologies, and research methodologies. Experience with Activity-Based Intelligence (ABI) concepts and data is highly desired but not required.
  • Effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Demonstrate experience acquiring, developing, and integrating analytical tools, data, and emerging technologies to improve processes, eliminate inefficiencies, and enhance analytical capabilities.
  • Provide innovative analytical solutions, adapt to evolving technologies, data, and mission requirements, and effectively operate within an agile, collaborative team environment.
  • Support system specification evaluations and test and evaluation activities for new or enhanced capabilities involving predictive analytics, data mining, data correlation, data fusion, visualization, and processing algorithms.
  • Possess a working knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC), and Maritime Special Operations Command (MSC) Counterintelligence (CI) and Operational Security (OPSEC) procedures.

Preferential Experience:

  • At least 3 years of recent experience working with or supporting Special Operations Forces (SOF)
  • Advanced knowledge of data management, to include extracting/transforming/loading data from various formats into a structured database and converting formats as needed.
  • Capable of supporting the development of tactics, operational considerations, and processes for Subsea and Seabed Warfare (SSW) and Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW).
  • Capable of providing analytical support to develop and refine the tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) necessary to counter adversarial SSW and ASW threats.
  • Develop and refine innovative tactics, operating considerations, and processes for SSW and ASW. Translate these concepts into detailed written and graphical descriptions for use in tactical, operational, and strategic undersea warfare analysis.
  • Conduct open-source research and analysis on a wide range of topics related to SSW and ASW, including emerging threats, adversary capabilities, and advanced technologies.

Additional Capabilities:

  • Develop and maintain an up-to-date internal (to the MSC) contact reference of the personnel and/or organizations and agencies within and outside of the MSC's chain of command that could be accessed to provide assistance or advice to resolve MSC problems and issues pertaining to the contract.
  • Provide advice and assist MSC personnel involved in providing mission support (either directly or indirectly) on matters related to the Contract. Coordinate with the MSC Director of Operations (and others as necessary) to optimize awareness and use of the Contract personnel's skills and capabilities.
  • Possess the ability to assist in the review, update, and drafting of relevant MSC standard operating procedures (SOPs), technical procedures, best practices, and other instructions as well as the quality and effectiveness of all source analysis data sources and hardware/software tools.
  • Provide critical research, analysis, and liaison support regarding SSW and ASW to inform decision-makers across the NSWG-8 enterprise including outside government programs and initiatives.
  • Support the development of innovative concepts of operations (CONOPS), capability plans, and tactical guidance. This work will inform government decisions related to acquisition, research and development (R&D), and the transition of new technologies to the NSWG-8 enterprise for a holistic undersea warfare advantage.
  • Perform a range of duties including research, analysis and development of written and graphical materials to encompass the entire lifecycle of capability development for both SSW and ASW, from initial concept to fleet implementation.
