About the Role:

As a Forklift Operator at Agile Cold Storage - Buffalo, NY, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating a turret forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack and count merchandise in. Your attention to detail and accuracy will be essential in maintaining inventory accuracy and meeting customer demands. You will work closely with the operations team members to ensure that safety protocols are followed and that all warehouse operations are carried out in a timely and efficient manner.

Schedule

1st shift (A) hours are 6AM - 6:30PM Sun, Mon, Tues, and every other Wed1st shift (B) hours are 6AM - 6:30PM Thurs, Fri, Sat, and every other Wed2nd shift hours are 6:30PM - 3:00AM Mon - Fri

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid forklift operator certification
• At least 1 year of experience operating a turret forklift in a warehouse environment
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work in a cold, labor intensive and high up environment
• Schedule and cross training flexibility

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Experience with warehouse management systems
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Good communication skills

Responsibilities:

Work safely - both focused on yourself and your teammatesComplete pre-shift inspection sheets.Load and unload trucks; move product onto pallets in the correct position.Scan product and move it to the correct loading or staging area; verify accuracy and placement.Secure the product with stretch wrap and attach the correct labels.Record materials, weight, counts, and product conditionOperate a forklift, pallet jack, or dock loader safely to move product.Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area; sweep as needed.Keep the work area safe and clean, including mopping up any spills caused by cold storage or thawing processes.

Skills:

As a Forklift Operator, you will use your skills to maintain inventory accuracy, follow safety protocols, collaborate with team members, and perform other warehouse duties as assigned. Your attention to detail and accuracy will be essential in ensuring that all merchandise is properly labeled and stored. Additionally, your ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively will be crucial in ensuring that all warehouse operations are carried out in a timely and efficient manner.
