This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, IT-IGA based in Canada.

This is a senior technology leadership role focused on Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) within a complex global enterprise environment.
You will serve as the enterprise authority for IGA, with ownership of the SailPoint platform strategy, architecture, governance, and service performance.
The role sits at the intersection of cybersecurity, compliance, infrastructure, HR, audit, and broader technology functions.
You will lead major initiatives, shape the IGA roadmap, and ensure identity controls remain scalable, effective, secure, and audit-ready.
A significant part of the position involves overseeing managed service partners and ensuring strong operational delivery, SLA performance, and continuous improvement.
You will also act as a senior advisor to technical and business stakeholders, translating complex identity and security topics into clear business outcomes.
This fully remote opportunity is suited to an experienced IGA leader who combines strategic thinking, technical depth, governance expertise, and strong executive communication skills.

Accountabilities:
  • Define the IGA strategy: Establish and maintain the Identity Governance and Administration technology strategy in alignment with enterprise security, compliance, audit, risk, and digital transformation objectives.
  • Lead major initiatives: Direct significant IGA technology programs and coordinate internal teams and managed service providers to ensure initiatives are delivered on time and to a high standard.
  • Own the SailPoint platform: Serve as the functional and technical owner for the SailPoint environment, overseeing architecture, configuration standards, integrations, lifecycle management, and platform evolution.
  • Drive architecture and integration: Provide architectural leadership for SailPoint integrations with critical enterprise applications and systems, ensuring scalable and effective identity solutions.
  • Strengthen governance and controls: Ensure IGA capabilities support internal controls, audit requirements, regulatory obligations, security standards, and access governance practices.
  • Oversee managed service delivery: Hold managed service partners accountable for day-to-day operations, service quality, SLA adherence, support outcomes, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage strategic partnerships: Oversee relationships with managed service providers, platform vendors, and implementation partners, including statements of work, delivery commitments, resource models, and support structures.
  • Advise senior stakeholders: Act as the primary senior contact for business, cybersecurity, technology, and control stakeholders on IGA matters, communicating priorities, risks, dependencies, and technical decisions clearly.
  • Align business and technology: Translate business requirements into effective technical solutions while ensuring architecture and implementation remain aligned with broader enterprise priorities.
  • Support financial planning: Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, investment planning, and resource decisions for the IGA function.
  • Promote best practices: Develop and implement IGA technology standards, governance practices, and operational improvements.
  • Support audits and compliance: Participate in customer audits, compliance reviews, and related assessments while ensuring identity governance capabilities remain audit-ready.
  • Provide effective leadership: Work independently in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities, solve complex problems, and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
Requirements:
  • Education and experience: Undergraduate degree with 10+ years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree with approximately 8–10 years of relevant experience; equivalent combinations of education and professional experience may also be considered.
  • IGA leadership: 10+ years of relevant technology, identity, security, or enterprise systems experience, including approximately 3–6 years in a leadership capacity.
  • SailPoint expertise: Strong functional knowledge and extensive hands-on experience with SailPoint IdentityNow and/or comparable IAM/IGA platforms.
  • Identity governance knowledge: Strong understanding of Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), User Access Reviews (UAR), identity governance, access management, and related security controls.
  • Enterprise architecture: Deep understanding of application portfolios, IT strategy, technology roadmaps, enterprise architecture, and business priorities.
  • Security mindset: Strong understanding of cybersecurity, privacy, risk management, compliance, and audit requirements.
  • Technology proficiency: Comfortable working with tools such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio, Jira, Azure DevOps, and other requirements or project management platforms.
  • Strategic thinking: Ability to develop technology strategies and translate them into actionable roadmaps and initiatives.
  • Communication: Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Analytical problem-solving: Strong deductive reasoning, critical thinking, prioritization, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Leadership and collaboration: Proven ability to lead cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams and influence stakeholders across technology, cybersecurity, audit, HR, infrastructure, and business functions.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working under pressure, managing demanding deadlines, and balancing multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of delivery and customer service.
Benefits:
  • Fully remote: Work remotely from Canada in a global, technology-driven environment.
  • Competitive compensation: Receive a competitive salary and benefits package aligned with the country of employment.
  • Career development: Access opportunities to build skills and pursue diverse career paths within a large global organization.
  • Learning and development: Benefit from extensive professional-development resources, including leadership programs, specialized learning initiatives, and online education opportunities.
  • Inclusive culture: Work in a collaborative environment that values diversity, inclusion, integrity, innovation, and different perspectives.
  • Global exposure: Collaborate with professionals and teams across multiple countries and disciplines.
  • Purpose-driven environment: Contribute to technology initiatives designed to strengthen security, operational effectiveness, and business performance.
  • Community engagement: Access opportunities to participate in volunteering, community initiatives, and programs supporting positive social and environmental impact.
