Laundromat Janitor/Custodian - Etters, PA in Etters, Pennsylvania at Ziker Classic

Position Summary

Our Laundromat Janitors are responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers and employees. This position ensures all areas of the laundromat are property cleaned and secured before close of business on a nightly basis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize washers, dryers, folding tables, carts, restrooms, doors, and seating areas
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
• Empty trash receptacles (inside and outside) and probably dispose of waste
• Restock restroom supplies as needed
• Clean lint traps
• Wipe down windows, doors, and other surfaces
• Report maintenance issues, equipment problems, and safety hazards to management
• Maintain exterior cleanliness including sidewalks and cigarette butt cans
• Follow company safety procedures and proper chemical handling guidelines
• Secure premises at completion of shift

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial or cleaning experience preferred but not required
• Ability to work independently and stay organized
• Strong attention to detail
• Dependable and punctual
• Ability to follow cleaning schedules and procedures
• Good customer services skills
• Criminal background check required
• 18 years or older

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift throughout duration of shift
• Ability to grasp items and lift/move up to 30 pounds from place to place
• Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals and operation equipment

Work Environment

• Limited interaction with customers and team members
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, and lint

Compensation & Benefits

• Daily rate (approximately 1.5 hours of work per night)
