Job Title: Assembler Line 3

Department: Assembly

Classification: Non-Exempt

Reports To: Assembly Supervisor

Revision Date: June 2019

Job Description: Main installations in this area will be interior, hinges, and shocks. Interior is made in-house and can be damaged by sharp objects. Special care will need to be taken when installing interior into the boats. In this area lifting parts above your head and resting them on the decks as you climb stairs to enter the boat is a common practice and should be done with care to avoid any injuries.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Be able to use a variety of hand tools including tape measure, razor knives, screw gun, drill, ratchet etc.
  • Keep work area clean and orderly
  • Work with a team to complete daily tasks
  • Follow instruction of Manager/Supervisor/Lead
  • Inspects all parts so that they are complete and up to quality standards.
  • Any other duties as assigned by management.
  • Must comply with all OSHA and safety procedures.

Physical and Work Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in non-climate-controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature.
  • Be able to bend at waist and knees and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to climb into and out of interior of boats.
  • Must be able to wear proper safety equipment when necessary.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds when necessary.
  • This is a safety sensitive position.
  • The ability to see details at close range.
  • Be able to use and maintain small hand tools (grinder, scraper, razor knife, blower, etc.).

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Certain areas of the factory maintain a high fiberglass and dust environment.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) might be required in certain areas of the factory, including but not limited to safety glasses, respirators, hearing protection, gloves, and protective garments.

Employees in safety-sensitive positions must report to work fit for duty and remain fit for duty throughout their workday. Being fit for duty means not being impaired by alcohol, illicit drugs, or medication.
