LICENSED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER or PROFESSIONAL COUNSELOR (or provisionally licensed) 2026-2027 School Year

STATUS: PRN, EVENING HOURS IN WEBSTER GROVES, MO

PAY: $47/HOUR

LOCATION: ST. LOUIS COUNTY

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master's degree from accredited school
• Licensed or provisionally licensed (with your own supervisor) in the state of Missouri (LCSW, LMSW, LPC, PLPC)
• One year experience assessing the psychological and educational needs of children and adolescents ages 2-18 and delivering treatment services, preferably in a school setting
• Knowledge of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
• Trauma informed

REPORTS TO: Counseling Supervisor, Miriam Learning Center

POSITION SUMMARY:The Licensed Clinical Social Worker/ Counselor evaluates the psycho-social needs of early childhood aged children and adolescents and makes appropriate recommendations to improve functioning at school and in the community. He/she provides individual, group and/or family counseling. Settings for work duties include on-site at the Learning Center during the school year.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. To provide a comprehensive and professional assessment of each child's psycho-social issues.
2. To make appropriate recommendations based upon assessment results.
3. To complete assessment reports in a professional and timely manner.
4. To determine an appropriate treatment pathway for a child/family.
5. To maintain contact with other professionals at the Center, in the school, and with the family to ensure coordinated treatment efforts.
6. To submit notes and billing in a timely manner.
7. To refer the child and/or family for community services as needed.
8. To provide individual, group and/or family counseling using a CBT model.
9. Any other duties as specified by the supervisor.
