Do you have a passion for organization and for helping people? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to work as a Contingent Program Specialist with the Parent Management Training – Oregon team, where you can make a difference in our community.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Contingent Program Specialist with PMTO you will bring your enthusiasm as a diversity-minded professional. You will assist with gathering information needed in setting up and conducting trainings for PMTO (Parent Management Training – Oregon) and will assist with facilitating meetings. You will monitor, follow up on, and track participant activity at all levels of the model during the certification and yearly recertification periods. You will support State leadership in providing information and requirements of the model and will be an ambassador of the model when working with those you encounter. You will provide administrative support for the PMTO State Coordinator and, at times, state leadership team. You will develop reporting templates, meeting minutes, flyers and other documents as well as compile and track data for statewide marketing and promotion. Occasionally, you will be asked to help with transportation of training materials to training and/or event sites.
Contingent Schedule/Status
Scheduling for this position is flexible, with variable hours and shifts based on program needs. While the program generally operates during standard office hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM), off-shift work may be available with prior approval. This temporary contingent role is ideal for a detail-oriented administrative professional seeking supplemental work while contributing meaningfully to their community. This position is grant funded, with funding currently available through 9/30/2026.
What We Require
The ideal candidate will have experience in developing and maintaining tracking mechanisms, a strong background working with Excel spreadsheets, as well as familiarity working in Publisher. You will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Organizational Learning, Education and one year experience in related mental health field OR 3 – 5 years of related or equivalent education and experience. You will have excellent communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal and human relation skills.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:
Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations, including, but not limited to, visual and/or audiological appliances and devices to increase mobility.
Physical Efforts – Job demands include prolonged sitting and standing. Requires light lifting up to 35 pounds, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or bending. Requires coordination of hands and/or eye/hand/foot and ability to hear and communicate verbally.
Working Conditions – In office environment with noise from computers, copy machine, and telephones. Use of computer for periods in excess of 30 minutes at a time. May be exposed to bloodborne pathogens, infectious diseases, and parasites. May encounter community environments that include homes, schools, courts, and other community settings that may or may not be barrier-free. Travel throughout the Kalamazoo area may be required.
