CHMC-Financial Counselor – Full Time- Day Shift- 7:30a-4p primary shift– Req #8199

Pay Range: $20.84-$27.09*

This position is operated by Carthage Area Hospital

Responsible for all Credit/Collection functions for the Medical Center’s Accounts Receivable. Responsible for contacts with agencies, legal representatives, and patients as they apply to the collection function. Responsible for clerical and record keeping functions as they apply to collections.

REPORTS TO:

Director of Patient Registration & Financial Services

EDUCATION:

Required:

• High school diploma

Preferred:

• Associates Degree in Business

TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:

Required:

• typing, bookkeeping, and office practice skills

Preferred:

• Previous hospital or health care related clerical experience or insurance claims preparation or processing preferred.
