Position SummaryWe’re looking for a Head of Avionics to lead the design, development, and implementation of avionics systems for our deep space craft. This is a hands-on, leadership role where you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to architect and deliver the critical electronics systems that enable our upcoming missions.In this role, you’ll oversee the development of power systems, command and data handling, communication systems, and other spacecraft avionics components and anything else that needs to be built. You’ll ensure the systems meet performance, reliability, and cost targets while fostering a collaborative and high-performing engineering culture.

Key Responsibilities
- Build all the electronics: Lead the end-to-end development of spacecraft avionics systems, including architecture, design, integration, and testing. This includes the design and development of
- Flight electrical systems: including power distribution, communication interfaces, and control systems.
- Ensure rigorous testing and validation of avionics hardware and software to guarantee mission success.
- Manage a team of avionics engineers for speed and performance.
- Collaborate with other engineering teams.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (advanced degree preferred but not required).
- Experience: 8+ years in electrical engineering, with a focus on avionics or spacecraft systems. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
- Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience designing, building, and testing spacecraft .
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage complex projects under impossible deadlines. Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and provide innovative solutions.
