Medical Assistant - Ambulatory Services

This position requires the employee to have a thorough understanding of the clerical and clinical operations of the department/ambulatory clinic. The employee will be responsible for verifying patient information, recording medical history, and confirming purpose of visit. The employee will prepare the patient for examination by obtaining vital signs and performing preliminary physical tests. Tasks required of the medical assistant may include but not be limited to audiometry, visual testing, pulmonary function testing, drug and EBT screening, EKGs, venipuncture, and injections. The employee is responsible for consistently and accurately documenting patient information.

The Medical Assistant will report directly to the Clinic Manager and may be given additional responsibilities as deemed necessary by management.
