This role is responsible for designing, building, and supporting secure, scalable Microsoft Azure infrastructure for cloud, data, and AI initiatives. You will help shape modern cloud environments while ensuring reliability, security, governance, and operational efficiency. The position combines hands-on infrastructure engineering with Infrastructure as Code, automation, DevOps, and cloud modernization. You will collaborate closely with infrastructure, development, data, and AI teams to deliver solutions that support evolving business and technology needs. The role also provides exposure to Microsoft Fabric, data lakes, and AI/ML infrastructure. This is a primarily remote opportunity with occasional travel and the potential for long-term employment through either direct hire or contract-to-hire arrangements.

• Design, build, configure, and maintain secure, scalable Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code and automated deployment practices, with a strong focus on Terraform-based solutions.
• Support cloud migration, modernization, and infrastructure automation initiatives.
• Build and maintain environments supporting Microsoft Fabric, Azure data platforms, data lakes, and related data workloads.
• Partner with AI and machine learning teams to provide reliable infrastructure for AI/ML initiatives.
• Implement and maintain cloud security controls covering identity and access management, networking, encryption, logging, monitoring, and governance.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, DevOps, and DevSecOps practices.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to improve cloud reliability, scalability, security, and operational efficiency.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of relevant IT experience, including at least 2 years of hands-on cloud infrastructure experience.
• Strong practical knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, cloud architecture, and governance.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, with Terraform strongly preferred.
• Experience with PowerShell, Python, Shell, or similar scripting languages for automation and infrastructure management.
• Solid understanding of IAM, networking, security controls, monitoring, logging, encryption, and other cloud-native technologies.
• Experience supporting cloud migrations, modernization programs, and infrastructure automation.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Azure data platforms, data lakes, or infrastructure supporting AI/ML workloads is highly desirable.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to work across infrastructure, development, data, and AI teams.
• Experience working with healthcare environments, HIPAA, HITRUST, or comparable compliance requirements is a plus.

Benefits:

• Salary range of $90,000–$120,000+ depending on experience and qualifications.
