Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

The Automation Dispatch Stager is responsible for identifying the physical inventory of molded requirements for current production schedule and physical loading requirements to the automated lines

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Identify molded requirements for current automation production schedule as identified by Master Scheduler

• Use automation equipment and industrial forklifts to move material to saw lines and infeed location for automation cells

• Verfiy slab maps to molded requirements to maximize product yield

• Identify non-conforming product for MRB review

• Physically move cut pieces from saws, support and oversee the movement of slabs and cut pieces from saws, waterjets, edge finishers, routers and specialty finishing lines using Automated equipment and processes

• Inspect pieces for visual and dimensional quality

• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures

• Maintain or exceed expected output on pieces per hour

• Follow all safety and quality standards

• Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to demonstrate comprehension of positional work instructions

• Ability to read piece tickets and slab maps produced by proprietary system for production requirements

• Able to read and adhere to a production schedule

• Able to accurately record inventory and verify product type and validate piece dimensions utilizing a calibrated tape measure

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to communicate with hourly employees and management personnel

• Capable of becoming forklift certified

• Able to work overtime including weekends

• Measure by weight (g/lb) using scales and basic math

• Ability to learn AUTOMATION Software and perform basic computer functions

• Ability to effectively communicate within a team

• Ability to collect and document all needed data at assigned workstation using the appropriate forms

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• High School degree or GED required

• Minimum 6 months’ work experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Able to lift and carry 50 lbs. repetitively

• Able to stand, stoop, bend and reach overhead repetitively

• Ability to tolerate working near running machinery, coolant systems, and moderate noise levels, with proper PPE
