About the Role: The recycling Sorter works in a fast-paced warehouse setting, separating recyclable materials on a conveyor line to ensure proper sorting and quality standards. This role helps operation by removing non-conforming items and performing general housekeeping and equipment cleanup throughout the facility.

Responsibilities:
- Stand at a station along a conveyor belt to inspect and sort recycling materials
- Identify and remove non-conforming or prohibited materials from the sorting line.
- Perform general housekeeping and clean processing equipment at the end of each shift.
- Maintain a safe and organized work area throughout the shift.
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse and recycling environment while meeting productivity and quality expectations.
- Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or operational problems to the appropriate supervisor.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, recycling, or industrial environment preferred.
- Familiarity with the use of basic Personal Protective Equipment like a hard hat, reflective vest, steel toe boots, ear and eye protection, utility gloves, and arm preferred.
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced warehouse and recycling environment.
- Comfortable working at elevated heights.
- Ability to work around moving conveyor systems and rotating equipment without experiencing motion sickness.
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to quickly identify and remove non-conforming materials.
- Reliable attendance and the ability to work assigned shifts, including overtime as needed.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
- Regularly use hands and fingers to handle or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms
- Frequently required to sit, walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, squat, kneel, crawl, speak and hear.
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
- Must be able to stand for long period of time
- Vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud
