The final title—Specialist, Supervisor, or Manager—will be determined based on the selected candidate’s experience, leadership background, and assigned responsibilities.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Supply Chain Operations and Fulfillment position owns the physical execution of customer orders from light production and kitting through inventory control, warehousing, picking and packing, shipping, and final fulfillment.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can work directly with the floor team to resolve order, inventory, workflow, quality, and capacity issues. The position supports retail, wholesale, and lifestyle-brand programs, with an emphasis on accuracy, productivity, safety, quality, and on-time shipment.
The position works closely with Retail Account Operations to convert customer requirements, purchase orders, and delivery commitments into clear and executable floor priorities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and coordinate light assembly, kitting, labeling, packaging, repacking, and other value-added activities according to customer specifications and due dates.
- Confirm that required materials, components, packaging, labels, and instructions are available before production or fulfillment begins.
- Monitor daily output, quality, staffing requirements, and schedule changes.
- Work directly with the team to resolve production, material, workflow, and capacity constraints.
Inventory Control
- Oversee receiving, put-away, storage locations, material movements, work-in-process inventory, finished goods, and cycle counts.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and product availability for production and customer orders.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure inventory transactions and supporting records are completed accurately in the applicable ERP, WMS, inventory, or order-management system.
Warehouse and Order Fulfillment
- Prioritize released orders and coordinate picking, packing, labeling, staging, and shipment within required customer delivery windows.
- Monitor backlog, throughput, available space, staffing, and daily workflow.
- Respond to rush orders, shortages, inventory discrepancies, delayed materials, and other operational exceptions.
- Maintain safe, clean, and organized warehouse and work areas.
Shipping and Logistics Execution
- Coordinate parcel, LTL, FTL, carrier pickups, shipping documentation, and delivery appointments, as applicable.
- Verify carton and pallet configurations, shipping labels, packing lists, shipment records, and customer-specific instructions.
- Coordinate with carriers, third-party logistics providers, internal teams, and Retail Account Operations to resolve shipment exceptions.
- Support timely and accurate B2B and customer-direct fulfillment.
Quality Safety and Continuous Improvement
- Establish and maintain practical quality checks and approved packout standards.
- Investigate fulfillment errors, product damage, rework, shipment discrepancies, and customer-related operational issues.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce repeated errors.
- Follow and reinforce applicable safety procedures, standard operating procedures, and company requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflow, productivity, inventory accuracy, space utilization, and operating cost.
LEVEL RESPONSIBILITIES
Specialist Level
- Personally performs and coordinates assigned inventory, production, warehouse, and fulfillment activities.
- Organizes daily work priorities and resolves routine operational issues.
- Works closely with other team members but does not have assumed direct-report responsibility.
- Escalates significant quality, staffing, inventory, or capacity issues to management.
Supervisor Level
- Coordinates daily floor activity and assigns work based on order volume, priorities, and deadlines.
- Trains employees on standard operating procedures, quality requirements, and safety expectations.
- Monitors productivity, attendance, accuracy, and completion of assigned work.
- Provides day-to-day direction and escalates significant performance or staffing concerns to management.
- Remains actively involved in warehouse, inventory, fulfillment, and production execution.
Manager Level
- Plans labor, staffing, workflow, and capacity based on current and forecasted order volume.
- Leads warehouse, fulfillment, inventory, and light-production employees.
- Establishes operating procedures, controls, KPIs, and performance expectations.
- Coaches employee performance and maintains accountability for operational results.
- Partners with leadership on staffing, cost control, equipment, space, process design, and growth planning.
- Leads corrective-action and continuous-improvement initiatives while remaining engaged with daily floor operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with light production, assembly, kitting, labeling, packaging, repacking, and warehouse fulfillment.
- Consumer-product or major-retailer fulfillment experience.
- Experience with retailer routing, labeling, carton and pallet requirements, EDI, or ASN processes.
- Experience in high-SKU, seasonal, e-commerce, omnichannel, or B2B fulfillment operations.
- Experience coordinating parcel, LTL, FTL, carriers, or third-party logistics providers.
- Experience developing SOPs and KPIs or applying Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, or other continuous-improvement methods.
- Experience helping scale operations during periods of customer or volume growth.
OWNERSHIP BOUNDARY
Retail Account Operations owns customer onboarding, item setup, purchase-order interpretation, customer communication, external updates, and retail-compliance coordination.
Supply Chain Operations and Fulfillment owns the physical workflow, production and kitting, inventory, warehouse execution, employee coordination, picking and packing, and shipping execution.
Both functions share responsibility for accurate, complete, and on-time customer delivery.
Requirements:CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
- An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Comparable hands-on warehouse, fulfillment, distribution, or production experience will also be considered.
- At least three years of relevant experience involving physical products is required.
- Supervisor and Manager candidates should demonstrate progressively responsible floor leadership, inventory control, labor planning, problem-solving, and measurable operational results.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on knowledge of receiving, inventory control, warehouse movement, picking, packing, labeling, staging, and outbound shipping.
- Experience coordinating competing orders, customer deadlines, staffing requirements, and operational priorities.
- Ability to identify root causes and implement practical corrective actions on the floor.
- Strong attention to detail, communication, organization, and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Experience using an ERP, WMS, inventory, or order-management system.
- Willingness to work directly with the team and remain actively involved in daily operations.
- Ability to work on-site at the Oxnard facility.
