Summary:
Provides leadership and coordination for multiple Foremen and crews in the paint & blast department. Ensures work is performed safely, efficiently, and in line with production schedules and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and coordinate the activities of multiple Foremen and crews to meet production schedules and job milestones
- Work closely with the Superintendent to plan and execute workload across multiple work areas
- Ensure safety standards are followed and promote a strong safety culture
- Monitor job progress, manpower, and productivity and adjust as needed
- Communicate daily with production leadership on job status and priorities
- Provide leadership, coaching, and support to Foremen
- Identify manpower needs and skill gaps
- Resolve operational issues that impact schedules or performance
- Maintain field presence to oversee work and provide direction to crews
- 5+ years of experience in marine and/or industrial blasting and painting
- Prior leadership experience as a Foreman or similar supervisory role required
- Strong knowledge of paint and blast processes, equipment, and safety standards
- Ability to read and interpret job specifications, drawings, and production schedules
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
