Summary of Basic Function:
The Commercial Banker (with Treasury Management responsibilities) is responsible for developing, managing, and deepening client relationships by delivering a comprehensive suite of Commercial Banking solutions, including deposit products, lending, treasury management, and other value-added services. This role requires a strong understanding of each client’s business to serve as a trusted advisor, proactively identifying opportunities that support their growth, liquidity needs, and overall financial objectives. The primary focus of this position is to build, expand, and retain long-term relationships by actively selling and cross-selling the bank’s full range of Commercial products, with a particular emphasis on originating and growing core deposit relationships. This includes positioning the bank as the client’s primary financial partner through operating accounts, liquidity solutions, and integrated treasury services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Be the face of Brentwood Bank, providing internal and external customers with consistent and superior customer service, presenting a professional, friendly, and helpful appearance with every interaction.
- Evaluate needs of prospective and current clients in an effective manner. Prepares written proposals to include required quotes and assessments of client needs.
- Acquiring new customers through business development, networking, cold calling, and effective sales techniques.
- Follows up customer sales as appropriate – responsible for cross selling all products and services of the bank to develop whole customer banking relationships.
- Help customers drive their digital access and knowledge by educating them on web and mobile banking features
- Understands and supports sales policies and procedures to provide proper and effective treatment to all customers. Maintain accurate and detailed logs of customer interactions, referral, communications, preferences, complaints, and other information in the COCC CRM.
- Maintains familiarity with laws pertaining to the sale of financial institution products and services.
- Promote internal communications with all Bank departments to ensure quality and consistency in the Bank service offering.
- Represent and promote favorable image and uphold the Bank reputation through involvement in community activities.
- Research trends and technical developments through related publications and training sessions to maintain current knowledge and specifically meet customer requests.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Requirements:
- Associates degree or equivalent experience required; bachelor’s degree preferred
- At least 3-5 years of Business/Commercial Banking experience
- Demonstrated superior customer service, sales, and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management/prioritization skills
- Ability to effectively ask questions and identify needs to enhance customer relationships
- Comfortable with using digital technology to support the delivery of business goals
- Ability to problem-solve and provide solutions to customer issues
- Self-motivated, confident and ability to multitask effectively
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- This role follows a hybrid work model, combining in‑office and remote work. Employees are required to be onsite for the first 30 days and must adhere to Bank policy regarding required onsite days thereafter.
- Physical requirements include prolonged sitting and/or standing, frequent hand use, clear verbal communication, occasional bending and lifting up to 50 lbs., and the ability to see and read fine print.

- The position is based at Pittsburgh headquarters and requires residence within a commutable distance.
