What You'll Do
- Review customer drawings, CAD models, and RFQs
- Develop manufacturing plans and determine production methods
- Estimate labor, materials, machining, tooling, and outside processing costs
- Prepare customer quotations and manufacturing work orders
- Coordinate with vendors on materials and outside services
- Support production planning, scheduling, and job release activities
- Work closely with toolmakers, machinists, engineers, and leadership
- Identify manufacturing, quality, and tooling issues before production begins
- Help improve estimating accuracy and manufacturing processes
- Communicate with customers and vendors regarding technical requirements and delivery expectations
- Strong blueprint and engineering drawing interpretation skills
- Understanding of GD&T, tolerances, and precision manufacturing
- Knowledge of machining processes including milling, turning, grinding, and Wire EDM
- Experience with tooling, dies, fixtures, gauges, or precision machined components
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
- Comfortable using ERP systems, spreadsheets, and manufacturing documentation
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
