Job Description

Position Description: Who We Are:
Hispanic Federation (HF) is the nation's premier Latino nonprofit membership organization. Founded in 1990, HF supports Hispanic families and strengthens Latino institutions through grantmaking and direct services in the areas of education, health, immigration, civic engagement, economic empowerment and the environment. Values that drive our work include equality, fairness, diversity, and empathy.

Technological advancements are changing the workforce requirements of our economy. According to Brookings, nearly two-thirds of all new jobs created since 2010 required either high or medium level digital skills. Latinos make up 18% of the overall U.S. labor market and account for approximately one out of every two new workers entering the workforce in 2025 but also make up 35% of workers with no digital skills; 20% of those with limited skills; and only 8% of all STEM jobs. Hispanic Federation's Digital Skilling Program seeks to address these issues through community-based workforce development and technology trainings.

Who we seek:
Hispanic Federation (HF) seeks a Digital Skilling Program Coordinator to help manage and contribute to HF’s Workforce Initiatives programmatic efforts aimed at increasing the financial security of Latino families. Under the supervision of the Workforce Initiatives Program Manager, the coordinator will be instrumental in supporting administrative and reporting duties for a technology program running three (3) cycles a year at three (3) locations within New York City. The coordinator will learn the intricacies of community outreach, workforce development, program management, technology training programs, digital adoption programs, and poverty reduction efforts.

The successful candidate is detail-oriented and has experience and interest in technology training programs, workforce development, and nonprofits. The position requires a high attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to increasing workforce development opportunities to underserved communities.
