GENERAL DESCRIPTION (PURPOSE)

Responsible for serving alongside the College Ministry team to disciple and shepherd college-aged women, strengthen ministry systems, and help create environments where students can connect, grow in their faith, serve, and take next steps in their relationship with Jesus.

Requirements:

  • Must be/become a member of NPHX Church.
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required.

SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (Evaluation criteria based on these responsibilities listed on review forms)

Connect Groups ~ 25%

  • Recruit, equip, and develop Connect Group leaders.
  • Oversee Connect Group scheduling, planning, and execution.
  • Plan and lead regular Connect Group leader meetings.
  • Develop and maintain a shepherding system to regularly check in with Connect Group leaders and provide encouragement, support, and accountability.
  • Follow up with leaders to ensure groups are functioning well and address needs or challenges as they arise.
  • Plan and execute an annual Connect Group leader retreat.
  • Communicate consistently with Connect Group leaders regarding upcoming events, meetings, curriculum, expectations, and important ministry information.
  • Ensure weekly Connect Group curriculum is created, prepared, and distributed to leaders in a timely manner.
  • Assist with developing discussion questions and content for Connect Group curriculum.
  • Maintain accurate administrative records and systems related to Connect Groups.
  • Track Connect Group attendance and participation.
  • Follow up with students who are interested in joining a Connect Group and help connect them with an appropriate group.
  • Monitor the overall health and effectiveness of the Connect Group ministry and identify opportunities for improvement.

Serve Team ~ 20%

  • Recruit and invite students to serve on the Collective Serve Team.
  • Lead and oversee the Serve Team onboarding process.
  • Communicate regularly with volunteers regarding schedules, expectations, responsibilities, and important ministry information.
  • Plan and execute Serve Team rallies and gatherings.
  • Ensure all necessary preparation and setup is completed before each Collective service.
  • Help ensure Serve Team volunteers understand their roles and follow through on their commitments.
  • Provide accountability and encouragement to volunteers to promote consistency and faithfulness in serving.
  • Plan and execute volunteer appreciation events and opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate administrative systems for tracking Serve Team volunteers, schedules, participation, and other relevant information.

The Collective ~ 20%

  • Assist with planning and executing the weekly Collective service.
  • Help oversee and coordinate the various elements of the weekly service.
  • Lead and coordinate post-Collective events.
  • Assist with platform announcements, testimonies, prayer times, and other elements of the service.
  • Intentionally connect with female first-time guests and help them feel welcomed, known, and connected to the ministry.
  • Follow up with female students and help them take appropriate next steps within the church and college ministry.
  • Assist students as they pursue baptism and other spiritual next steps.
  • Assist in identifying, developing, and leading potential residents and interns within the ministry.
  • Assist with social media promotion and communication for the college ministry.

Women’s Discipleship & Pastoral Care ~ 20%

  • Serve as a primary point person for the women within the college ministry.
  • Build intentional, relational connections with female students.
  • Disciple and walk alongside women as they grow in their relationship with Jesus.
  • Provide encouragement, prayer, spiritual guidance, and appropriate pastoral care.
  • Identify women who may need additional support, discipleship, or connection to church leadership.
  • Help create a culture where women feel known, cared for, challenged, and equipped to follow Jesus and lead others.

Mission Trips ~ 5%

  • Attend and actively participate in the college ministry mission trip(s).
  • Assist with the planning, preparation, and execution of the mission trip(s).
  • Help lead and disciple students throughout the mission trip experience.

Fall Retreat ~ 5%

  • Assist with planning and executing the annual college ministry fall retreat.
  • Help prepare and teach breakout sessions.
  • Assist with student discipleship, leadership, and ministry needs throughout the retreat.

Essential Team Member of NPHX Church ~ 5%

  • Participate in all required activities for NPHX Staff (Sunday Service, Staff meetings, Christmas Eve, Christmas for Phoenix, Thanksgiving for Phoenix, Easter, etc.)
  • Encourages spiritual focus and commitment by modeling the core values of NPHX Church.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor – not to exceed 5%
