Description:

Verve, LLC is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to support the development, enhancement, and modernization of ServiceNow solutions within a federal healthcare environment.

The ServiceNow Developer will work closely with architects, technical teams, business stakeholders, and federal customers to develop scalable solutions, automate business processes, improve platform capabilities, and support the successful delivery of ServiceNow projects and enhancements.

The ideal candidate combines strong ServiceNow development expertise with an understanding of enterprise architecture, data integrity, automation, and technical solution design.

Work Location

This position supports a federal client in Woodlawn, Maryland. Candidates who are able and willing to work onsite at least part-time at the Social Security Administration (SSA) in Woodlawn are strongly encouraged to apply.

Verve is also open to top-tier fully remote candidates with exceptional ServiceNow development experience who can effectively collaborate with the client and project team remotely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze customer requirements and develop ServiceNow solutions that address technical, operational, management, automation, and reporting needs.
  • Provide development support for ServiceNow projects, enhancements, integrations, and platform improvements.
  • Develop process workflows, automation strategies, and technical solutions across the ServiceNow platform.
  • Collaborate with architects and technical teams on solution architecture, design, development, and technical reviews.
  • Develop solution artifacts including roadmaps, optimization recommendations, operational improvements, architecture diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Support data integrity and governance across ServiceNow environments, including CMDB, Hardware Asset Management (HAM), and Software Asset Management (SAM).
  • Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, and solution evaluations.
  • Contribute to prototypes, demonstrations, presentations, and other growth-related technical activities as needed.
  • Stay current with ServiceNow platform capabilities, development best practices, and relevant certifications.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship while identifying opportunities to improve processes and platform performance.
Requirements:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, Master’s degree with 1+ years of relevant experience, or 7+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 5+ years of experience as a ServiceNow Developer.
  • 3+ years of experience participating in technical discussions, solution reviews, and design reviews.
  • Experience developing solutions across multiple areas of the ServiceNow platform.
  • Experience integrating ServiceNow with commonly used third-party technologies.
  • Strong understanding of system architecture, design principles, scalability, and technical impacts.
  • Experience supporting IT-related data integrity, including CMDB, HAM, and SAM.
  • Strong technical leadership skills and the initiative to take on additional responsibilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and succinctly.
  • Experience supporting the U.S. Federal Government.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

ServiceNow ExperienceThe successful candidate will have experience developing ServiceNow solutions across multiple platform applications, including:

  • IT Service Management (ITSM)
  • IT Operations Management (ITOM)
  • Hardware Asset Management (HAM)
  • Software Asset Management (SAM)
  • IT Business Management (ITBM)
  • Customer Service Management (CSM)
  • Security Operations (SecOps)
  • Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)
  • Human Resources Service Delivery (HR)

Experience within an industry such as healthcare, financial services, high technology, manufacturing, or retail is highly valued.Candidates with experience driving technical change, leading development efforts, or guiding solution implementation are particularly encouraged to apply.
Required Certifications

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)

Technical Skills

  • Web development technologies including XHTML, CSS3, SQL, XML, Angular, JavaScript, PHP, .NET, or Java.
  • JavaScript development and automation across ServiceNow modules.
  • REST and SOAP web service integrations.
  • ServiceNow Business Rules, Workflows, Identification Rules, Workspaces, and External Portals.
  • Knowledge of SAML, Active Directory, and LDAP.
  • Specialized ServiceNow development certifications or experience across ITSM, HAM, SAM, ITBM, CSM, SecOps, GRC, TRM/APM, or HR.
  • Project Management or Agile certification.
  • ITIL v4 Foundations certification.
  • Experience working in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
