Position Summary

The Motorcycle Salesperson is responsible for assisting guests in selecting and purchasing new and pre-owned motorcycles. This role guides guests through the entire sales process, from initial inquiry to motorcycle delivery, while delivering an exceptional guest experience and achieving dealership sales goals. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, guest-focused, self-motivated, and passionate about motorcycles and the riding lifestyle.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist guests in selecting motorcycles that meet their needs and riding goals.
  • Conduct motorcycle presentations, walk-arounds, and test ride experiences.
  • Explain motorcycle features, benefits, accessories, warranties, and financing options.
  • Build and maintain strong guest relationships to encourage repeat and referral business.
  • Follow up with leads, showroom visitors, phone inquiries, and internet prospects.
  • Utilize CRM tools to document guest interactions and sales activities.
  • Maintain knowledge of current and pre-owned inventory, promotions, and manufacturer programs.
  • Collaborate with Finance & Insurance and Service departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Assist with dealership events, open houses, rides, and community outreach activities.
  • Achieve individual sales goals for motorcycles, accessories, protection products, and related products.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and represent the dealership brand positively at all times.
  • Participate in sales meetings, training programs, and manufacturer-required certifications.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Strong communication, guest service, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficient with social media posting and building book of business
  • Video lead response and follow up with all guests
  • Excellent sales, negotiation, and closing abilities.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven attitude.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, commission-based environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Basic computer and CRM proficiency.
  • Professional demeanor and positive attitude.
  • Passion for motorcycles and the riding lifestyle preferred.
  • Valid driver's license; motorcycle endorsement preferred.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous sales or guest service experience preferred.
  • Motorcycle, powersports, automotive, or retail sales experience preferred.
  • Harley-Davidson product knowledge preferred.
  • Training provided for qualified candidates.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to operate motorcycles for demonstrations and test rides where permitted.
  • Ability to lift and move motorcycles and accessories with appropriate assistance.
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and electronically.

Work Environment

Fast-paced dealership environment with frequent interaction among guests, sales staff, service personnel, and management. Work includes both indoor showroom activities and outdoor motorcycle demonstrations, events, and guest deliveries. Evening, weekend, and event participation is required.
