Job Description

Imagineeer is a fast-growing SBA 8(a) Small Disadvantaged Business headquartered in Arlington, VA, delivering federal AI modernization across health, defense, homeland security, and transportation. We design, test, and deploy secure, AI-ready systems that move agencies from pilots to production without breaking governance, compliance, or mission continuity. Our Mission Studio model creates shared environments where policy, data, security, and operations come together. We are capability-driven and competitive by design, not program-dependent. Our leadership has operated inside the federal systems we now transform, bringing institutional knowledge that accelerates delivery and reduces risk. If real delivery motivates you more than slides, and you want your work to compound across programs and agencies, Imagineeer is growing and we are building the team to match.

About the role

Imagineeer is seeking a Training Lead to design, deliver, and measure role-based training on an acquisition transformation engagement for a federal civilian department. The contract sets a firm standard: 90 percent training completion, and no participant uses a pilot or production tool before completing required training.

You will own the training readiness checkpoint in the firm's decision methodology and build a curriculum that grows from pilot training into the implementation curriculum, serving acquisition professionals, program office customers, approvers, and system administrators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct the role-based training needs assessment during the current-state assessment.
  • Co-author the Integrated Change Management, Training, and Configuration Management Plan.
  • Design role-based curricula, job aids, and participant training materials for pilot readiness and implementation.
  • Deliver training in formats suited to each audience, including instructor-led, virtual, recorded modules, and job aids, and align curricula with applicable federal acquisition workforce certification requirements.
  • Assess candidate vendors' training offerings and vendor adoption support during market research.
  • Deliver role-based training to pilot participants and administrators before and during the pilot, and during implementation.
  • Measure training completion, effectiveness, and adoption by role and report results in every status report.
  • Manage the risk of completion falling below 90 percent through make-up sessions, job aids, and cohort scheduling coordinated with the client.
  • Prepare sustainment training and hand off training materials at transition to operations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in instructional design, education, adult learning, or a related field.
  • 6 or more years of instructional design and training delivery experience, including role-based training for enterprise system rollouts.
  • Proficiency with ADDIE or SAM and with training evaluation frameworks such as the Kirkpatrick model.
  • Experience building Section 508 conformant training content and working with learning management systems.
  • Experience tracking and reporting training completion and effectiveness against defined targets.

Desired Skills and Competencies:
• Experience designing training for federal acquisition professionals or for contract writing and procurement systems.

• ATD Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) or equivalent.

• Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Institute programs and FAC-C certification requirements.

• Master's degree in instructional design or education.

Additional Information:

Employment for this position is contingent upon the candidate being a United States citizen and having the ability to successfully obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance, in accordance with applicable federal regulations.
